The trend forecasting module involved learning to identify threads and emerging patterns in order to predict future trends and potential marketing oppurtunities. This is a vital tool in ensuring products are launched at the correct time and have the desired aesthetic for the target consumer. A variety of sources were used to collate research and conceptual visuals such as trend forecasting platforms WGSN and LSN. Ten key drivers were chosen to prove the prevailing mood, with the creation of a trend booklet on InDesign communicating the feel and look of the trend in terms of fabric, product, consumer and aesthetic.
